The series soars above grand estates to capture breathtaking architecture, formal gardens, sweeping parklands and hidden landscapes, while also uncovering the rich histories and human stories behind them. Through intimate interviews with owners, staff and restoration teams, the programme celebrates the timeless beauty of these landmarks and the ongoing efforts to preserve them.
The series brings us behind the gates of the following estates:
Blenheim Palace – built between 1705 and 1722.
Castle Howard – construction began in 1699 and continued into the early 19th century.
Burghley House – built between 1555 and 1587.
Penshurst Place – originally built in 1341.
